Dr. J’s  Alkaline Juice Recipe with Variations

Foundation: All organic or well washed with veggie wash

  • 1/4 cabbage

  • 1/2 fresh squeezed lemon

  • 4-6 kale leaves (chard with stems off, Napa cabbage or spinach_

  • 2-4 carrots or 1 peeled beet (or two carrots and 1 small beet)

  • 1-2 stalks celery

  • 1-2 cloves garlic

  • *consider 1 teaspoon of Tri-Salts or food grade bicarbonate salt

  • *consider 1 tablespoon Progreens (seaweeds) or barley greens 

  • *1 small red beet for sweetness if needed and for anemia


Herbs to Add in different variations: Not all together !

  • Parsley small bunch

  • Cilantro small bunch

  • Fennel 1-2 ounces root

  • Thyme small bunch

  • Mint leaves small bunch

  • Garlic as above

  • Red pepper to tolerance (1/4 to 1/2 tsp cayenne is warming)

  • Turmeric powder 1/4 to 1 tsp to taste

Fruits to Add in Small amounts for calories and taste

  • 1/2 small papaya or 1/8 to 1/4 large papaya

  • 1/2 apple or pear peeled

  • 1/4 mango peeled

Other vegetables to taste in modest amounts:

  • Fresh Romaine lettuce

  • cucumber

  • Broccoli stems

  • Green leaf veggies if bitterness tolerated (great for alkalinity)
